Elastic Casings the easy way

Video Tutorial – Sewing Elastic Casings

Here’s a video on how you can insert your elastic and stitch the casing AT THE SAME TIME!

It takes a bit of fiddling and practice, but if you sew lots of casings in your work then it will be a huge time saver.

Let me know how you go!

You sew with such ease! Such a pleasure to watch and I didn’t realize this could be done. I’ll be making my grandchildren some school clothes and will adopt this method. Thank you so much!

I think I am going to try this method on a Lazy Days skirt I am sewing soon – I’ll let you know how it works out for a first timer. I love the butterfly on the back waist – very cute way for a kid to know front from back. Also – thanks for commenting on my messenger bag post – I replied on my blog to the comment since you are a no-reply blogger – thanks again for the kind words!

Britt thank you for letting me know I was “No Reply” blogger – I really had no idea so I’ll be fixing that straight away!
Yes – a bit of folded ribbon or a felt shape is a good way for me to find the back too. Good luck with your skirt.

I'd love to hear what you think...
